What is Biochar?
Biochar is made when biomass is heated in the absence of oxygen, leaving black, ultra-porous carbon.
To better improve soils, Biochar is processed with compost tea and worm castings at Tierra Prieta, creating a nutrient and microorganism charged soil amendment that improves soil fertility.
Carbon Removal
We specialize in making a very carbon-stable form of Biochar, which can be stored physically in soil with little chance of it returning to the atmosphere.
